Welcome to Nazarene Christian Preschool of Long Beach. We are very pleased that you are interested in our school. Nazarene Christian School offers the finest in Christian Education. Our staff of qualified, dedicated, and loving teachers, administrators, and support personnel is eager to serve you during these formative years of your child's growth and development.

Nazarene Christian Preschool serves students 2 1/2 to 5 years old. The school is sponsored by the First Church of the Nazarene of Long Beach and is a member of the Association of Christian School International (ACSI).

Our preschool is fully licensed by the State of California under Title 22 and is inspected and regulated by the Department of Social Services and the Community Day Care Licensing Department. Our facility number is 191602122. Our tax ID number is 95-2843107.

Purpose-Philosophy-Goals

Our purpose is to provide quality care for children who are 2 1/2 through 5 years of age in a safe, happy, healthy, and intellectually stimulating Christian environment. It is our goal to provide instruction and experiences that will help the child grow spiritually as well as intellectually, socially, and emotionally.

We believe that each child follows predictable stages of growth and development, but progresses through these stages at his/her own rate and in his/her own unique way. Each child is God's unique creation and therefore has unique strengths and needs. We build on these strengths and meet the needs by providing a wide variety of both teacher-directed and child-centered activities in math, science, social studies, art, music, language, creative movement, and Bible. We also believe that each child learns by doing, especially during these preschool years. Therefore, we plan instructional activities, special events, and experiences that are age appropriate and involve the child in active learning.

We believe that parents are the primary educators of their children. It is the Christian school's responsibility to augment and support the values of the Christian parents and the Christian home while the child is in our care.
